Motorcycles maintained by students from YIC Kyoto Institute of Technology Automobile College and used in the Suzuka 8 Hours Endurance Road Race are on display
This year marks the third motorcycle exhibition.
The Suzuka 8 Hours Endurance Road Race is an event in which students from the Automobile Maintenance Department's Motorcycle Course at the Kyoto Institute of Technology (YIC, Shimogyo Ward, Kyoto City) prepare their bikes and participate as a test of their daily training. This year, we are exhibiting the bikes that were actually used in last year's race at the Suzuka 8 Hours, Japan's largest motorcycle race, which is held every summer at the Suzuka Circuit.
We have decided to continue this project because we want to support local students in their efforts to achieve their dreams.
This is an opportunity for race fans, as well as those hearing about the Suzuka 8 Hours for the first time, to get in touch with motorsports, and also for them to learn that many of the students who support it are studying in Kyoto.
This year, take this opportunity to see vehicles that you don't often get to see up close, including fuel tanks for road racing and repaired scratches from actual use.
