Creating new Japanese charm with "shochu cocktails that heal with aroma" - Japanese cocktails born in collaboration with Hamada Shuzo - commemorative campaign also held

We have teamed up with Hamada Shuzo Co., Ltd. in Kagoshima Prefecture, which is working on sake brewing with the goal of "making authentic shochu into a true national drink and even a world-renowned drink," to implement a project to promote the appeal of Japan. We will be selling cocktails based on shochu from Monday, April 1, 2024, the second anniversary of our opening.

The theme of this collaboration is "shochu cocktails that heal with aromas," and new Japanese cocktails using shochu have been created. Using innovative shochu with a focus on aromas, such as "DAIYAME," which is characterized by its rich aroma from fragrant sweet potatoes created using Hamada Shuzo's unique technology, and "CHILL GREEN spicy & citrus," a blend of "margao," which combines the aroma of citrus with a spicy flavor reminiscent of Japanese pepper, the cocktails can be enjoyed in balance and harmony with sake and "Kyoto Gin."

To commemorate this collaboration, we will be running an Instagram campaign. This is a limited-time event where you can enjoy the cocktail "Ikoi", which was created using Daime as the base spirit, for 1,000 yen (tax and service charge included).

While looking for ways to make use of the distinctive scent, I came up with a cocktail recipe for DAIYAME and CHILL GREEN. It's great for a drink before returning to your room after sightseeing in Kyoto, or for relaxing after work. This is the perfect cocktail. Please feel free to drop by.

The meaning of "DAIYAME" is "heal your fatigue with a drink" in this cup. The cocktail name is "Ikoi". Mixed with Japanese Black Tea, which is said to have a relaxing effect, and using cherry blossom syrup, the cherry blossom scent and light pink color create a sense of peace in both the sense of smell and the sight. The edge of the glass uses olives and tree buds to express the lychee, which is the characteristic of DAIYAME  aroma. Enjoy a moment to relieve your daily fatigue.

A shochu and sake cocktail that you've probably never combined before (the sake is "Tsuki no Katsura" from Fushimi, Kyoto). Inspired by the light yellow color of the sala-soju flower, we named it "Sara" by adding "sara", which means new in Kansai dialect. We made the name easy for overseas customers to pronounce. It mixes the "unexplored aroma" of DAIYAME , which is recognized worldwide, with the good old depth of sake. We use spring-like kumquats to tie the two together and bring them together with a refreshing sweetness, creating a unique cocktail with a sense of unity.

Early green is a word that refers to young leaves and young grass. The cocktail is inspired by the "chill" (calming and relaxing) and "green" (natural feel) of the botanical barley shochu Chill Green. We use Kyoto Gin and Green Tea to create a Kyoto-like atmosphere. Like young leaves that are about to grow, we sensed the unknown potential of shochu cocktails, so we named it "Early green''. Enjoy the harmony of shochu and Kyoto.


DAIYAME
DAIYAME

The authentic potato shochu "DAIYAME" was released in 2018, on the 150th anniversary of the company's founding, with the concept of "unexplored fragrance" as an authentic shochu that will lead the next generation of the industry. It has a surprisingly refreshing and gorgeous lychee-like aroma, a sweet and mellow taste, and a sharp aftertaste. DAIYAME is a Kagoshima dialect that means "to heal your fatigue with a drink". This product, which overturns the common sense of potato shochu, has been supported by drinkers who are not familiar with authentic shochu, and is attracting attention as a pioneer in the "fragrant shochu" category, which has become a hot topic in the alcohol industry in recent years. .

“CHILL GREEN spicy & citrus” will be released in February 2023. A new type of botanical barley shochu that combines the deliciousness of the special spice "Margao" and barley shochu. It has a citrus scent and a stimulating taste for those who are not good at shochu or those who want to experience the charm of shochu. This year, the bottle design was recognized and won the Lily Frankie Award at the Glass Bottle Awards 2024.
